The Rolling Stones are a British rock band formed in London in 1962. Considered one of the most influential and successful bands in rock history, they have had a very long musical career and have sold millions of records around the world. The band's original lineup consisted of Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar), Brian Jones (guitar), Bill Wyman (bass), and Charlie Watts (drums). Over the years, the band has undergone line-up changes, but Jagger and Richards have been the core members and creative force behind the band since its inception.

The Rolling Stones tongue logo is one of the most recognizable icons in popular culture. It was created in 1970 by graphic designer John Pasche, who worked for the London design agency Royal College of Art. The original idea for the logo was conceived by Jagger, who was looking for a distinctive design for the band that would represent their rebellious and provocative attitude.

The logo features a large, open tongue with prominent lips and teeth. It was inspired in part by the mouth of the Hindu deity Kali, known for her ferocity and destructive energy. Pasche captured the essence of Jagger's idea and created an iconic design that has come to represent the rebelliousness and rock 'n' roll attitude of the Rolling Stones.

Since its creation, the tongue logo has become a distinctive emblem of the band and has been used on numerous Rolling Stones-related albums, merchandise products, and promotions. It has transcended music and has become a cultural symbol recognized throughout the world. The language logo is an outstanding example of how a graphic design can become so identifiable and last over time.
